I work on the JANE system for my sessions. The JANE system provides an Ai Transcription service for my sessions. This means that all sessions are recorded and the content of the transcription is then fitted into a session note template that I then edit and finalize for my clinical notes. It's important to me that you are aware of this and comfortable with this process. While the transcription service streamlines my clinical responsibilites, it in no way breaches the confidentiality of your sessions. Once I edit and approve the notes, the full transcripition is deleted.
It is crutial to know that the JANE system is PHIPA compliant (Personal Health Information Protection Act, in Ontario), PIPEDA compliant (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), and CRPO compliant (College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario) and adheres to Canadian medical health records standards. I would not use this service at all if I did not trust the security and the benefits of using it. If you have any concerns, please feel free to discuss them with me.
